What I Like

My favorite sports press sites

When I was growing up, I used to be a sports buff. I loved talking about football with my friends in high school. Nowadays, I’m more of a loner especially as I live in a remote area. Nevertheless, I still like to keep tabs on what’s going on in the world and with sports, in general. I also like to check out some European websites now and again, so here are my two cents of the best sports news I was able to come across while doing my research.

Something I want to add is that I am no fan of TV. I prefer to listen to radio broadcasts. The commercials and fake news get to me, so I honestly don’t think that television plays any part in my life right now.

Sports Illustrated has one of the best-known websites in the world. It has a variety of categories I like to keep tabs on. It even has one dealing with food safety and college meals, so there’s nothing not to like about it. From what I noticed, it is mostly focused on American football, but the editors publish other news, as well. The coolest thing about SI is that it even has a mobile app, one of which works with Android devices and the other being designed for Apple smartphones and tablets.

ESPN is another site I like to check out once in a while. In a sense, it’s a bit more generous than Sports Illustrated, which is to say that the publication’s editors tackle a broader variety of topics and sports. You can find out about anything related to horse racing, NASCAR, Olympic Sports, Rugby, and even Cricket. I personally like the way they report on tennis events, including the US Open.

FoxSports.com is a bit more limited, in that it mostly publishes articles dealing with anything from NASCAR to motor racing. The cool thing about it is that it also tackles the matter of boxing. I didn’t notice any posts about personal training, however, so it lacks a bit of content in this sense.

SportingNews and FanSided are two other sites I check out from time to time. They’re both user-friendly and contain loads of info about the sports I’m passionate about. FanSided even publishes articles about popular TV shows. Check out this one about twenty-five questions for the 8th season of Game of Thrones.

So, there you have it. These are my favorite sports websites. Let me know if you have any others you personally prefer because I’m always looking for new ones. It’s too bad that I don’t have a TV anymore, in a way, but otherwise, I’m not feeling too sorry for myself.
